I'm completely hooked on Sari's Christmas calendar =D Most often I just save the freebies that I find and rarely stitch them. They are too often forgotten while stitching current WIP's. I thought this time I do something a bit different. Here you go.... These ornaments I stitched last week. Let's see what we get next week =D


Olen ihan koukussa Sarin joulukalenteriin =D Aivan liian usein noita kivoja ilmaismalleja vain tallentaa koneelle (ja arvatkaa monetko ilmaismallit ovat menneet sen siliän tien, kun koneet ovat hajonneet). Sitten ne vain unohtuu sinne jonnekin. Nyt ajattelin pistää tuon nykyisen projektin joululomalle ja keskittyä näihin Sarin löytöihin. Tässä viime viikon tuotokset. Saas nähdä mitä ensi viikko tuo tullessaan =D

Independece Day

We are celebrating the Independece Day in Finland. What could be more apropiate than a stitching project with Finnish flag colours in it. =D Have you already visited Sari's Christmas calendar . I found the chart from there and it is originally from Better homes and gardens. I already commented at Sari's blog that I won't stitch this stocking for this Christmas but if I leave the Enchanted ornaments stocking for couple of days so maybe I manage to finish this one... =D The pic is taken by my daughter - thank you Elsa =D The other pic is an action photo from yesterday and in that pic I'm stitching something else from Sari's Christmas calendar...

Mikäpä parempi tapa viettää itsenäisyyspäivää kuin pistelemällä jotain sinivalkoista =D. Kaikkihan varmaan jo tietävät Sarin joulukalenterin. Sitä kautta löysin tämän mallin ja alunperinhän se on Better homes & gardensilta. Sarille laitoin kommenttia, että en kyllä täksi jouluksi tätä sukkaa pistele, mutta jos nyt sitten kuitenkin... Pitää nyt miettiä raaskiiko tuota Enchanted ornaments sukkaa heittää hunningolle... =D Ja kuvanhan on ottanut tyttäreni, että suurkiitokset Elsalle =D Toinen kuva on sitten toimintakuva eiliseltä. Pistelen siinä jotain muuta mukavaa, malli myöskin Sarin kalenterista...

New camera

Our daughter wanted to start photographing (honestly, it wasn't my idea) and she got a camera as her birthdaygift. She has kindly promised me to take the pics of my stitching. =D So here comes first update with the new camera and new photographer. What do you think?

Tytär on jo jonkin aikaa vihjaillut, että haluaisi harrastaa valokuvausta (totuuden nimissä ei ollut minun idea). Nyt sitten hommattiin synttärilahjaksi ihan oikea kamera ja tytär auliisti lupautui kuvaamaan kaikki käsityöni =D. Tässäpä tulee eka päivitys uudella kameralla ja kuvaajalla. Mitäs tykkäätte?

Instead of my camera I tried to scan the stocking so maybe the colours looks more true in this post. I had to scan the stcoking in two parts.

Yritinpä skannata tuota sukkaa valokuvauksen sijasta. Ehkä nuo värit ovat enemmän oikean sorttisia nyt kuin mitä noissa valokuvissa. Mutta eipä ihan yhteen skannaukseen enää mahtunut tuo tekele... =D

Enchanted ornaments stocking 4

Oh, I wish you I could show you this in real life to you. The colours are so beautiful and my camera doesn't do justice for them. The days are dark and it is that time of the year when it is more difficult to take photos not to mention that camera that doesn't work properly anymore. Who knows next week the stocking is in half way...

Kunpa voisinkin tämän sukan esitellä teille ihan oikeasti. Värit on tosi nätit ja nyt kun alkaa enemmän hahmottumaan tuo taustakin. Alkaa taas olla se aika vuodesta, että on vähän haasteellista ottaa kuvia puhumattakaan tuosta kamerasta, joka on vähän liikaa nähnyt elämää. Kenties seuraavassa päivityksessä sukka on jo puolivälissä valmistumistaan...

I have got so many questions about this design I stitched and I promised to find out which Cross Stitch Gold magazine it was from. You can find the mag for example here and the issue number was 80.


Muistanette vielä tämän lintumallin, jonka pistelin. Olen lukemattomille ihmisille luvannut selvittää sen Cross Stitch Gold -lehden numeron, jossa malli oli ja nyt vihdoin sain aikaiseksi etsiä sen. Lehti siis oli numero 80 ja löytyy esim. täältä.

Enchanted ornaments stocking update 3

I'm afraid the stocking hasn't progressed very much last week but I'm forced to stay still next week so I propably manage to stitch more.

Eipä tämä sukka männä viikolla paljoa edistynyt, mutta tällä viikolla pitää istua enemmän aloillaan, joten sukkakin varmaan etenee vähän vauhdikkaammin.

Enchanted ornaments stocking update 2

I have done some backstitching to the ornament that has houses in it. The inside of that ornament has all backstitches but there is still loads to do outside of it and in that chain...

Tuo ensimmäinen pallukka, jossa on nuo talot on nyt kutakuinkin sisällöltään valmis. Ulkoreuna ja tuo ketju ja pallon "kiinnike" vaativatkin sitten vielä aika paljon ollakseen valmiita, mutta kyllä se siitä pikku hiljaa... =D
