I should look this from further distance time to time cause I feel I don't get nothing done. The nature pics are from last weekend journey to here.

Pitäisi aina aika ajoin katsella kauempaa tätä työtä, kun tuntuu, ettei edisty yhtään.... Luoretokuvat ovat viime viikonlopun retkeltä täällä.

Sea, lake, river, pond -exchange

I participated the Oupsi -stitching groups "Sea, lake, river, pond" -exchange. The idea was to stitch one item and include 2 other items that were related to the theme. The package that I received was overwhelming. I received the exchange from Anne. There was two stitched pieces a hanger and a box. And the box was full of goodies: hand dyed threads, ornaments, real shells and top of all that a bag of candy. The exchange was so perfect that Anne even stitched the exchange beside the ocean. Thank you a thousand times, Anne. I'm so sorry that the pics aren't great. We are just having a thunderstorm and dark weather.

My part of the exchange went to Sari. I stitched a JBW Designs chart Beach bound and sewed it into a storage bin. The other items that I sent was a cross-stitch chart and a needleminder (shape of a mermaid).





Osallistuin Oupsin meri, järvi, joki, lampi -vaihtoon ja tänään kipaisin kaupalta hakemassa jännittävän paketin. Anne oli  taas tulkinnut sääntöjä vähän omaan tyyliinsä. Paketissa piti olla yksi pistelty ja viimeistelty osio ja kaksi muuta tavaraa, jotka liittyvät vaihtoon. Anne oli tehnyt ihanan naulakon sekä rasian pistelemällä ja rasia oli täynnä aarteita (käsinvärjättyä lankaa, oikeita simpukoita, puisia koristeita ja vihreitä nappeja) sekä karkkia. Anne oli niin täydellinen vaihtonsa suhteen, että jopa pisteli sitä meren rannalla =D. Tuhannet kiitokset Anne! =D Kuvat ovat ihan luokattoman huonoja, mutta tuli just ukonilma ja pimeys.


Minä puolestani pistelin Sarille JBW Designsin Beach bound -mallin ja ompelin sen säilytyskoriin. Lisäksi vaihtoparilleni lähti ristipistomalli ja neulavahti (molemmisssa merenneito).

Lying in wait wolf 4 & Greetings from Tallinn

There is loads of stitching in that background. We did a short visit to Tallinn in Estonia. I found a cross-stitch shop from Rocca al Mare -shopping center. I bought only DMC threads which were only 0,57 euros a skein (if I go to buy a skein of thread from Finnish craft shops it costs 1,3 euros). I thoght I would buy a cross-stitch kit with a picture of old town of Tallinn but I had so little time at that point that I only searched the threads I needed.

Tuossa taustassa riittääkin pisteltävää... Teimmepä lyhyen piipahduksen Tallinnaan. Rocca al maren -ostoskeskuksessa ilokseni törmäsin askartelu- ja käsityökauppaan, jossa oli ristipistotarvikkeitakin. Seinillä oli valmiita tauluja. Mukaani tarttui vain DMC:n lankaa, joka maksoi 57 senttiä tokka. Ajatuksena oli ostaa matkamuistoksi ristipistopakkaus, jonka aiheena oli vanha kaupunki, mutta oli siinä vaiheessa jo vähän kiire, että se sitten jäi...

I'm really enjoying to stitch this. The chart is easy to read and the symbols are different enough.

Onpas ihana pistellä tätä mallia. Malli on helppolukuinen ja symbolitkin tarpeeksi erilaisia.
